The Knicks concluded the regular season with a 51-31 record, securing the third seed in the Eastern Conference. They advanced to the conference finals by defeating the Detroit Pistons in the first round and upsetting the Boston Celtics in the semifinals.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Friday, May 23, at 8:00 PM ET at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks will aim to even the series before heading to Indiana for Games 3 and 4.
In support of the team’s playoff run, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has temporarily co-named streets across Manhattan after Knicks players, including “Jalen Brunson Boulevard” and “Josh Hart Street.” These signs will remain for the duration of the Knicks’ postseason journey.
