Born on January 18, 1999, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, he played college football at Clemson University, where he was instrumental in winning the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship. The Bengals selected Higgins with the 33rd overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Throughout his NFL career, Higgins has been a key contributor to the Bengals’ offense, consistently demonstrating his skills as a wide receiver. In the 2024 season, he recorded 74 receptions for 1,029 yards and 10 touchdowns, showcasing his reliability and playmaking abilities.

In March 2025, Higgins agreed to a four-year, $115 million contract extension with the Bengals, with the first two years guaranteed. This deal makes him one of the highest-paid second wide receivers in the league, reflecting his significant value to the team.

Higgins’ partnership with fellow wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and quarterback Joe Burrow has been pivotal in the Bengals’ offensive success, creating a dynamic and formidable passing attack that poses challenges for opposing defenses.
